plugin installation
Brand new to textpattern and just installed it successfully. Question has to do with installation of plugins, and here it goes:
Do I have to copy just the text within the <?php ?> code tag or copy everything, including <?php ?> into the plugin upload box?
TIA

Re: plugin installation
That must be an old plugin you want to install ;) (Usually there are no php tags anymore.) But as far as I know it doesn’t really matter if you include the php tags or leave them out, both will work. But if I’m wrong don’t worry, Textpattern will tell you if it doesn’t work, it won’t do any harm.

Re: plugin installation
That’s correct, it doesn’t matter, Txp should accomodate doing either.

Re: plugin installation
Thanks for both replies. I spent the better part of 2 days tweaking my install and installing a usable template and lots of plugins. I chose to install the blogginpro templare, which requires 4 templates. Two of those I could not locate (download site is out), and so I get these errors whenever I click on the comments in of an article:
tag_error <txp:gho_comments_invite class=”“ zero=“No Response” one=” Response” more=” Responses” format=“text”/> -> Textpattern Warning: unknown_tag: gho_comments_invite on line 968
tag_error <txp:comment_help/> -> Textpattern Warning: unknown_tag: comment_help on line 968
Looks like both plugins are no longer available. Are there compatible alternatives for these plugins.
This brings me to a question about the ako_social plugin. The usage instruction says to use it like so:
<txp:ako_social />
and for the images, to use this form:
<txp:ako_social images=“1” imgsrcdir=“images/social” />.
My question is: Where do you add these? In the pages default template? in the header form? Where?
TIA

Two of those I could not locate…
Found it. The other is a typo.
Where do you add these?
Wherever you want it to appear, I imagine (in your page template or form).
