Re: Textplates '07 Launch

Thanks. :) Actually I will need to work 10 times as hard to keep up with the TXP community growth (both professional and quantitative) :)
Looking forward to seeing your entry too!

Re: Textplates '07 Launch

Unfortunately I didn’t find the time to really polish my theme and make it a finished product so I decided not to participate. I must say I like the emerging design so much that I would rather work on it for another couple of weeks and then leave it for myself.

Wish good luck to all the participants! I’ll watch for coming templates with a lot of joy. :) May be I can be a judge next time. :)

Re: Textplates '07 Launch

Good news for you, Vladimir! But if you win it now, they’ll say it’s rigged! So whichever way, you just can’t win, Vlad! And anyway, I have already come first as you probably already know :-)

But seriously, it’s great that there’s an extension. The quality is great but I expected more entries and perhaps some multimedia templates. Have you told all the judges, thame? It seems that one of them has already made his decision on who should be winner! although his comments seem to have upset some people! LOL!

Re: Textplates '07 Launch

Oh nooo!!!! I almost got used to the idea of leaving my emerging design for my own website because I love it a lot already… But… Mac… Mini… Can’t resist. :)

Anyway I’d be very feeling very guilty not to finish and submit a template now that the deadline is extended, because Tom who did so much to make this event happen and the wonderful TXP community in general well deserve a lot more effort from the template developers side than it was for now.

Tom, absolutely wonderful news! Thank you for such a wise decision. I’ll do my best to convince fellow developers to participate too.

Peter, so, it’s time for you to make another couple of good submissions isn’t it? I hope it is :)

Maybe. I have ideas but I’m not sure I can make them work and get something really good done in time. I want it to be really good if I make a new template. Good is no longer good enough and I don’t want to clutter up the place :-)

I hope you can find time to get yours finished before the deadline. Tell you what, Vlad. I’ll get mine finished if you get yours finished. Deal?

Re: Textplates '07 Launch

It’s a deal, Peter!

I want people to be absolutely blown away by my template so I’ll work hard and now there’s no way anything could prevent successfully finishing it. :)

So how’s it going, Vlad? I’m longing to be blown away!

I’m on track to finish and if my template doesn’t blow your socks off, I will eat my hat (again)!

Re: Textplates '07 Launch

I’m 95% done, the most important thing left is to write a thorough documentation for it. :)
Though I’m not quite sure if people will like my design and utterly minimalistic approach, I still think some will be pleasantly surprised. :)
