how to use windows live writer to post weblogs in textpattern
I want to try to use some desktop client software to post weblogs ,like windows live writer.I download the XML for textpattern and upload the files to server.But when i visit http://www.xxxx.com/rpc,it always displays “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only”.Why?Thanks :)

And what happens if you use windows live writer instead of visiting http://www.xxxx.com/rpc with your browser (which performs a GET request by default)?

windows live write doesn’t support the textpattern default.I follow the instruction here.

Have you followed the wizard in Windows Live Writer (use “custom movable type API” instead of “wordpress”, of course):

I am a China user,the link above can’t be visited.But in wizard i choose “custom movable type API“and in “Remote Posting URL“i write “http://xxxx.com/rpc/index.php” then i come to the next step.It apparently works well.i don’t know why i visit “http”//xxxx.com/rpc” it returns “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only”,while in remote posting url i write “http://xxxx.com/rpc/index.php it works well? Thank you

Because that’s how it works, it’s not supposed to show anything when visited by a browser.
