How do post via email?
Hi:
Is there a plugin or other solution to post via email, without loging in to textpattern? I did a search but only the reciprocal question (email-on-post) came up.
Many thanks all,

Re: How do post via email?
There is no built in way or plugin for this. I think that posting via email would be a security risk.

Re: How do post via email?
It can’t be done with a plugin, but it can be done (I’ve done something similar myself). If you’re on a linux based webhost and can use something like procmail to handle your incoming email, you can use that to feed the email to a PHP/Perl/whatever script that processes the email and stores it directly in the textpattern table. This would be done completely outside of textpattern. It doesn’t have to be a bigger security risk than posting an article the normal way.

Re: How do post via email?
I am nowhere near being a programmer, and what you describe is beyond my reach. Was just wondering if the need has occured to anyone else and if there is a fix for it.
You’d think people browsing away from their main computer might find smth they want to blog on, but don’t want to sign in (eg. they are with an unsecure connection, or using a cell phone browser, etc), so they’d just email the link/post.
