output multiple images into a list

Okay, I have spent hours and hours searching for a plugin, trick, or something to make this happen but I can’t find it. It seems like such a simple thing.

I want to output the images in a particular image category so that they show up all in a column on my page. No pop-ups, thumbnails, links, rollovers, or anything like that. Just a simple, vertical series of images.

I’m using 4.0.4. Note: glx_gallery does not appear to work at all in 4.0.4, and directory_gallery is gone.

Surely this must be possible. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

wet – is there any way to use your plugin with a list of image IDs?

the images are not selectable by category

and I can’t use the article image field (it’s doing something else unfortunately) – or I would have used upm_article_image there

Robert, ah thank you so much!! It’s like an article tag for images! This will make my Textpattern life easier in a variety of ways.
