working with section lists

Hi,

How would I modify if the section list so that if I would like the list to be horizontal instead of vertical i.e. if i want to have text links of section going across the top of the page? Is there a way to sort the listing of the order in which they are printed?

Is there a way to assign a catgory to an image?

Is there a way to dynamically assign sections with sub levels of categories for a css menu ?

Re: working with section lists

Horizontal vs. vertical ordering is handled via CSS.

Image categories are under the categories tab of the content section.

To show section and sub-sections for a flyout menu, you would want to use categories and sub-categories and output them into whatever markup the flyout list needs to work. (Usually this is nested lists.)

Re: working with section lists

thanks. Where in the css is that in the default installed css file?

Also is there a way to sort the listing of sections (i.e. alphabetical , or manually placing a sort order) ?

Is there a tag to print a link by section name ? ( i e <txp:showsectionlink sec=a/> or anything similiar?

Re: working with section lists

  1. Look in “style” under “presentation”.
  2. Textbook: section_list
  3. Textbook: section
