RPC date/time skew

I’m the author of a desktop blogging client, QTM , and I’ve been testing out its compatibility with various CMSs including Textpattern. I discovered that the way TP deals with dates and times is different, and it results in the wrong date and time being posted.

Normally, my client posts the current date and time on the system on which the entry is composed. I am in the UK, and my blog host is on the US east coast. When I post to my Textpattern testing blog with a time of 10pm for example, TP posts it as if it were 10pm east coast time. No other CMS replicates this behaviour. (I use MT and Drupal normally, and also have a Wordpress test blog.)

I’m not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but it’s not normal CMS behaviour when posting through XML-RPC.

Re: RPC date/time skew

On the textpattern admin tab, in the preferences, have you set the timezone to GMT +0000?
