Comparison Of Img Gallery Plugins
Some months ago I put this table of gallery plugins together:
http://textbook.textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Comparison_of_Gallery_Plugins
It would be cool you add your gallery and the plugin you used to this thread here as well as new plugins.
Thanks :)

Re: Comparison Of Img Gallery Plugins
Would Mary’s upm_image plugin go in this list?

Re: Comparison Of Img Gallery Plugins
Hi.
At present I’m creating an art website for my client.
Basically I’m looking for a plugin to make a slideshow of articles with an image associated to it.
For each item(image) I have to show description and few other details from custom fields.
For example if you go to this link:
<a href=“http://www.londonart.co.uk/sales/sales.aspx” target=”_blank”>london art</a>
Then go to slideshow preview.
Well generally speaking I have to do something similar for my client.
My question is, does anyone know, has anything like that been made for textpattern before or even something similar like
slideshow for articles with images?
Any hints.
Thank you everyone for help.

Re: Comparison Of Img Gallery Plugins
If you’re looking to output “mini galleries” right in the body of articles, I found a convenient solution using txp:upm_image (multiple article images and overall goodness), and Varal’s Image Switcher, which is a very versatile script that can also handle thumbnails.

Re: Comparison Of Img Gallery Plugins
First of all thank you for your support guys.
The problem is that on top of article body I have to use custom fields. So this factor makes situation a bit more diffucult,
Normal picture description is not enough.
After short reseach in google i found this javascript, therefore i decided to write my first txp plugin – implementing this
javascirpt to textpattern. I already started working on it and some changes are necessary.
That’s a page which shows how it works using javascript.
www.barelyfitz.com/projects/slideshow/
The problem with all other galleries is that they all use pictures from selected category with some text from image caption. I rather need something to browse articles using javascript slideshow.
Anyway i will post my final result on this forum so you guys can have a look and tell you what you reckon.
Cheers.
