[request] Image based image category list
I’m pretty sure this would require a plugin. Like a combination of <txp:image_index /> and <txp:category_list type=“image” />…
I have in mind the ability to generate a image based list of image categories (rather than the current ability for txp to display the category titles). It might have the following abilities:
- it could display a random or most recent thumbnail for each image category
- an option to exclude certain image categories
- an option to only include certain image categories
- an option to include the image category title
- the normal break, wrap and class tags etc
- maybe the ability to display a set number of thumbnails per image category
Maybe I should pull my finger out and get learn how to program PHP!!
If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this with an exisitng plugin/tag I’d pls share your thoughts…

stw_category_tree can do some of this.
[edit] OK I reread and it seems like you want something different. You could maybe use mary’s upm_catergory_image in combination with an article tag… nope forget that.

I’m sure that means that you’ve gone off to thump out the above mentioned plugin… :)
My intent is to easily create a gallery index page that is updated as txp contributors can update when new categories/images are added. The actual gallery component can be provided by the all powerful (and only recently discovered on my behalf) combination of wet_for_each_image and upm_image.

I’m not sure, but maybe you can do this by using wet_for_each_image?
