Helping with creating a tree menu
Hi,
I’m pretty new to Textpattern but I’ve already set up a site working locally.
What I’m trying to do now is to create different menus and group articles under some of these major categories, but I don’t know how to!
Let’s imagine I have an article “XXX” tagged as: Scotland, Ben Nevis, Walking
These three categories would belong to three different main menus called respectively: Islands, Mountains, Activities.
What I’d like to achieve is something like this:
Islands
- Scotland (tot. articles: 1) <= it would link to a page displaying all the articles tagged as Scotland
- Ireland (15)
Mountains
- Ben Nevis (5)
- Monte Bianco (2)
Activities
- Walking (7)
- Kayaking (11)
and the article XXX to appear as a result in some of these sections…
How can I achieve that?
I have downloaded the plug in stw_category_tree but I can’t have it to work! what’s wrong?
Could you show me how to use this plug in given the above categories?
Thanks!

Re: Helping with creating a tree menu
Are you using a tagging plugin, or unlimited_categories? That might be the cause. If so, you’d better ask in the plugin thread.

Solved it! Thanks!
It was a silly question, but I’m pretty new to textpattern, no php clue and no Engligh mother tongue… that doesn’t really help sometimes :-/
