'Â' character appearing part way through Title text
Hi
I seem to be getting the character  in my Titles that contain spaces – but only in the titles that appear as a subject line in a mailto: link and on the title passed to my PayPal shopping cart NOT on the site itself.
The character appears part way through the text and replaces a space. I’ve tried escaping the space but it makes no difference.
You can see an example here – click on the ‘Ask a question about this item’ or ‘Add to Cart’ and you’ll see ‘question about We are not amused’.
It seems to do this on a PC, I don’t believe it does it on a Mac.
Any help greatley appreciated!

Try disabling “Prevent widowed words in article titles?” in the advanced preferences screen.

It adds a   (non-breaking space) between the second last and last word of article titles. To prevent (for long titles or narrow layout) that the last word will end up lonely on the next line ;)
(damn, how do you display such an entity here?)

That’s odd. Are you using UTF-8 in your pages?

(off topic): Mary, can you tell me how you got the entity to show properly in my post? When I hit ‘edit’ or ‘quote’ I just see the @‘s.
