Image Pluggin for Thumbnailer Using Constraint Proportions
Hi,
I have been looking for a way to manage images and thumbnails more efficiently. I have tried a few pluggins and have searched the forums but to no avail as of yet!
I am currently using Lightbox for the Gallery but find it very time consuming making the thumbnails. I basically deal with a lot of press photos that comes in all shapes and sizes – therefore creating the thumbnails for each image is very time consuming. At present I am having to open each one in Photoshop and resize them to height: 250px, using the constraint proportions photoshop works out the pixel width. I then have to write this down for every image upload the image into Textpattern Images and specify the width and height for the thumbnail. I could save 2 versions of each photo locally, the thumb and the large then upload the thumb into Textpattern with the main image, but I have have 1000’s of images on my harddrive and manging them is complicated already so dont really want to do this.
Is there an image pluggin available that uses constraint proportions when creating the image thumbnail? For example, I would enter just the height of the thumbnail and Textpattern would calculate the width, keeping it in proportion. It would mean I could cut out the whole Photoshop bit which takes me ages!
Thank you kindly

Textpattern already does this. Just enter one of the attributes and the other is automatically calculated.

Lol, I looked at everything execpt for the most simple thing!
In defense of my stupidity, I’m used to using Art apps like Photoshop/Photopaint that have a tick box for constraint proportions!!!
Thanks for your help!
