Display number of articles in each category

This is probably very simple but I cant find it anywhere on the forum

I am displaying a simple list of categories on my homepage using <txp:category_list break=“li” wraptag=“ul”/>

I there a way to display the number of articles in each category next to each list item i.e

Category 1(15)
Category 2 (20)
Category 3 (5)
