Txtptrn error: 404

Hello all. I did a search for this before posting… hope i didn’t overlook anything.

I’m installing textpattern… i set up my database & pluged that information into the config-dist.php file & renamed it to config.php.
however, when i got to /setup/ i get this:

Warning: extract() [function.extract]: First argument should be an array in /home/****/public_html/nude/textpattern/publish.php on line 53

Unknown section

please help a distressted noob. thanks!

Looks like get_prefs() on line 53 doesn’t return an array… but why?

I suppose TXP gets distracted when it sees in which directory it is installed… or perhaps some wrong settings for the database (username, password, etc) in config.php.

i’ve checked & re-checked the database information. it’s right, as far as i can see (maybe my eyes are going bad?). am i supposed to create the tables manually, myself? thanks

Don’t do it that way, instead follow the directions. Delete config.php, go to setup, enter the information and let etup guide you. When setup sees config.php it likely thinks that you’ve already successfully installed textpattern.
