Everything but $path_to_site ?

Hey everybody,

I’m sure I missed something simple here, but I’m stumped.

I’m setting up a new development workstation for my active site, and so I grabbed everything off the live server (an archive of the database, all the files and goodies, etc.) and copied it all onto my new development workstation. I setup the database on the development workstation to have the same name as what’s running on the production server to ease the transition. I then edited the config.php file with the info that’d changed…

I then changed the paths for the Site URL, and those under the Advanced tab in the Prefs to coincide with the new paths on the development server. Unfortunately I still get the following output on my diagnostics page:

path_to_site is inaccessible: /users/home/sakeel/web/public/sak
/users/home/sakeel/web/public/sak/index.php is inaccessible
Image directory is not writable: /users/home/sakeel/web/public/sak/images
Some Textpattern files have been modified: /include/txp_image.php

Am I going about this all wrong, or have I just missed something obvious right under my nose again? =)

p.s. The message about the modified files isn’t a problem, it’s a result of the following resolved issue:

It sounds like you might have a symlink from /home/sak/public_html/textpattern to /users/home/sakeel/web/public/sak (the real path). Try setting txpath to the real path.

There’s no symlinks. The /users/home/sakeel/web/public/sak path is the path that the production server uses. I downloaded all of the files, as well as the database backup to the development workstation and put all the files in the new location (/home/sak/public_html/) on the development workstation, so I didn’t create any links to anything.
