I know this is in the FAQ and it says:

These and similar errors are usually caused by:

* A missing or empty config.php file * Missing or empty subdirectories * Missing .php files * An incorrect ‘txpath’ setting in config.php

Make sure you’ve uploaded the complete contents of the Textpattern .zip/.tar.gz file to the correct location, and that your config.php settings are correct.

BUT … I am sooo sure I did everything correctly…
I tried everything but nothing worked…

I hope its not something stupid but I really can’t find it….

Are you sure you didn’t accidentally enter this in config.php? Or somewhere else?

no this is what I have in the config:
/public/sites/text.maartenellenbroek.nl/textpattern

and I am really really sure because I reinstalled everything like 3 times and even on other websites and still same problem… :(

Sorry for asking, but you didn’t mix up the index.php files? There is one in the root of your site, and one in the textpattern directory.

I made a sub-domain on maartenellenbroek.nl
and there was nothing in it at all…. and I copied everything from the zip file in there…
made the Database and was going threw the setup and everything worked perfectly
I can even maken new articles and all that but when trying to watch the site it does not work… :S

Ok for some reason I installed it again but now on a other subdomain and it works perfectly….
I don’t know what was wrong and I am really sorry
