IE caching articles in editing mode?
Hi!
I have a (non-critical) problem with IE 7 which for some unknown reason caches content of the textarea when I am editing articles.
Problem looks like this:
(1) I open an article
(2) make some changes to text
(3) press ‘save’
(4) check the website —> everything is ok, text is updated
(5) exit editing mode
(6) I go back to the same article in editing mode
(7) text is from previous version of article
Anybody had similar problems?

Re: IE caching articles in editing mode?
Can you elaborate on steps 5 and 6, what you do exactly?

Re: IE caching articles in editing mode?
Hi Mary!
This is what I did:
I have an article with text
“abc
abc
abc
abc”.
The article is already saved so I open it to edit.
(1) I change it to
“xyz
xyz
xyz
xyz”.
(2) Then I press SAVE then VIEW. (This all happens in one window only.)
(3) Then I press link on my site that goes to www.mysite.com/textpattern
(4) I click ARTICLES
(5) Choose the article I was editing.
(6) And the text is
“abc
abc
abc
abc”.
Now if I press F5 it will solve the problem cause the text will change to “xyz…”.
It actually freaked out my friend big time while he was writing really long text and it seemed that all he’s work was lost.
I have tested it with Firefox and it didn’t have this problem. (While we were troubleshooting this on the phone almost in the middle of the night I actually adviced him to install Firefox. Now he uses only Firefox to update the site.)
How can i fix this problem so the site could be updated normally with Internet Explorer version 7?

Re: IE caching articles in editing mode?
Tools > Internet Options > Browsing history > Settings
What’s this set to?

Re: IE caching articles in editing mode?
Can’t check at the moment that browser setting but that could be the cause of the problem.
Thanks for helping out.
