Forum down?

Is it just me or has anyone else had problems connecting to the forum today? I tried about 11.30 this morning (GMT) and a couple of times this afternoon and at about 6pm but just timed out each time.

Strange that at the top of the page I am on now it says: Last visit: Today 14:45:57
This is possibly the time when I also got one of those mysql error messages. I could not connect however, even if it registered me as having visited. Strange…

Re: Forum down?

I subscribe to the TXD Current Issues rss feed and the server being down wasn’t mentioned. Is it possible to get txp forum included in those rss feeds? After all it is hosted on Textdrive.

Yes, I noticed that before. It doesn’t happen every time the forum is down, but from time to time when you can’t access it, still the next time you visit the ‘new posts since last visit’ are gone. Which is really awkward I think.

Re: Forum down?

I never noticed the time but I did notice that on a number of occasions “Show new posts since last visit” returned nothing after the errors.

Re: Forum down?

Does anybody know what kind of resources are given to Textpattern at Textdrive?

I know Textdrive is moving to Solaris and it has containers, which are in essence a VPS. Just wondering the size of the container given to Textpattern or if it’s on a dedicated box.

Also, any kind of stats the devs want to share, monthly visitors to textpattern.com, the forum, etc.

Re: Forum down?

I think right now all TXP sites live on robson. Which is why they all die at the same time, At least that’s my understanding.

Re: Forum down?

Yes, they (txp.com, txp.net & txp.org, svn, etc) are all on Robson, a “Connector”. Nothing else is on the box.

Otherwise, I can only repeat myself. We just need to be patient. :)
