Website for Artist and Graphic Designer
Good Hello,
I’m a longtime lurker, first time poster. I used Textpattern to publish my blog for awhile. A few months ago, I redesigned my website and also set it up so Textpattern publishes the entire site. I like it very much.
I’d be tickled #FF99CC if you paid my little ol’ website a visit, www.srwild.com. Please make yourself comfortable, have look around, and post a comment on my blog. I’ll put the kettle on and make us some tea.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thank you kindly for your time.

Glad you got some quality flipping time in, Bert. I’m slowly adding more things from my vast collection of junk, soon there will be more to flip through.
Thank you alexandra. Thanks a bunch for the TXP Gallery addition.
The plugin I used is etz_pg. I spent weeks trying to figure out a way to present my journals and junk, then I came across this plugin and it solved all my problems.

I like the look and the pencil lines etc. I was surprised when I clicked the Journals link because I was expecting a blog. But then I saw you have a Blog section too. I think Journals usually means something written down and is used by many people to refer to their blog. So unless you are set on keeping as that (perhaps it’s an art term?) you might want to change to something else. But I am not an artist so please ignore me if it sounds a stupid comment!

It doesn’t sound stupid and I won’t ignore you. The possible confusion crossed my mind, but the fact that it’s plural and there’s a blog section, I don’t think it’ll cause too much confusion.
I’ve always called them journals. I’ve tried to think of another name, but there really isn’t a better one. They’re not sketchbooks, and scrapbooks sounds to craft-like — reminds me of cat pictures and books with the word “Memories” on the cover in glitter.
There is sort of “journal scene,” 1000 Journals Project being the most famous example.

I was being a bit stupid, actually, because when I flipped quickly through some of your journals I didn’t realize they were like two-page spreads, like journals or books. A quick look through a thesaurus doesn’t show any better word than ‘journals’. In fact, I am now of the opinion that many blogs shouldn’t call themselves journals but better stick to ‘blogs’.
Your journals are far more interesting!
