HD-DVD
Did anybody witness the little civil disobedience event yesterday in digg.com? For those not knowing what I’m talking about the key cracking the HD-DVD was let loose in the public domain. Authorities asked digg to remove a particular entry revealing the key but the community reacted but filling digg’s front page with entries about the key.
There is an ‘article explaining”:http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070502-hd-dvd-cracks-theres-no-going-back.html but also there is this little entry in boingboing and more interestingly this was how it was done:)

Re: HD-DVD
“Authorities” did not ask digg to remove anything….the AACS sent a DMCA take-down notice. The AACS is the private group consisting mostly of manufacturers of said format and companies that need said format for their movies, music and games.
