Hope you are getting it all sorted out as I would love a plugin like this. Can you confirm whether it works with messy URL’s as well as clean ones? Will you provide a new download or is the link above up-to-date?

Working, at last. There are some changes to how you specify exceptions — you have to put them into the plugin code itself instead of the text file. See help for details. (PHP geekery: for some reason includes inside switch statements give all sorts of errors.) Usage has also changed to <txp:scl_crumbs /> because, well, my name changed.

Jesper, it only works with clean URLs for the time being. Sorry. :(

Comments before actually using it:

The > should be escaped: >

Your old name is still in the Usage section:

<txp:scs_crumbs />

and a very belated congratulations to you on your marriage and new last name.

i have a quesiton… my site is subdomained.. so right now the breadcrumbs show:

<strong>Home
> Title
> Article</strong>

where it should really just show

<strong>Home
> Article</strong>

any suggestions as to how i might go about this?

Off the top of my head, no. It does Home > Article on my install. Are you using categories? And do the URLs go to the right places?

BTW, putting @#crumbs li { display: inline; } in your CSS will put the crumbs all on one line. Must remember to include that in the usage notes…

When I use the plugin, the section link shows up if I’m in an article of that section but not if I’m at the top of the section itself. So when I’m at mysite.com/about it just says home but when I’m at mysite/about/1/some-article it showes “home about” . Is this the proper behavior? Could I get it so it would tell you what section you are in, even if you are at the top of that section?

i am using categories.. but i don’t suppose that matters much since the breadcrumbs are only recognizing sections, right..?

my quickfix to my subdomain thing (since my textpattern site is on a subdomain rather than its own domain) is to just remove the “Home” statement. so if it’s on the front page, there are no breadcrumbs. if it’s anywhere else on the page, it shows:

You are here: »Title   » Article

was wondering if there was a way to implement it with sections.

for example mysite when you click on about, i would like the crumbs to show about, but you have to click on an article for this to happen.

perhaps this is more of a textpattern question? Sorry i’m a tad new.

Edit: Nevermind. I figured one way out, I just changed my link to
“/about/article” which seems to work.
