"if_home" and "if_section_page"?

Hi,

I have created an advanced design for my front page with different sections, and everything. My only problem is search result pages, section pages, and article pages. They do not work with the front page style!

Is there some way to use a spesific section just for the front page, and leave the default (for everything else)?

I also want to use spearate style for section pages, and the articles posted under that section!

Under Presentation > Sections you can assign different pages and styles to sections.

I know that. But what I want to change is the section’s default page (list of all articles posted under that section), but not the articles.

No, not as you’re describing. You will want to create a second page that your sections use. You can also setup a separate section that is purely for searches.

But what I want to change is the section’s default page (list of all articles posted under that section), but not the articles.

There I am not at all understanding what you mean.

How to set up a section for searches?

I ment that /articles (section) should have one style, and /articles/the_article (article) should have another.

You create a “search” section — or any other name you prefer — and point to it you search form action.

I ment that /articles (section) should have one style, and /articles/the_article (article) should have another.

Then you should use if_article_list for styling the section main page and if_individual_article for the single article (d’oh).

The default section is the one used for the front page, this is the way Textpattern works. Other sections can be include or excluded from frontpage view.

Apart from the fact that the default section is also used for by-author browsing, and by-category browsing.

Try glx_if It allows you to graciously separate the front page from the rest
