Create a linklist with months

Hi!

I’ve got a problem when I’m trying to create a list which contains links to different months. What I wan’t is that one can click on, for example, “april” and then all articles which were posted in april will show. Just like you can do on blogspot or similar bloggsites.

I’ve tried the approach explained on thebombsite but i can’t get it to work. when you click a month it says that “The requested URL /start was not found on this server.”.

If you would like to see the site the url is: mattiasbrage.se, the site is in swedish but the links I have problem with are called, “april, mars, februari” (if you could’nt have guessed it. ;) ).

I know there are some plugins out there but i would like to make it work this way.

I hope someone has the solution for my problem.

Re: Create a linklist with months

  1. The url you’re using should be /blog/start (that tutorial assumes you’ve got Textpattern installed in the root of your site).
  2. It looks like you have not added the archive display code to that page?

Re: Create a linklist with months

What do you mean by “the archive display code”? Which part of the code is that and where should i put it? Now I have changed the path to /blogg/start. And now when i press a month nothing happens, so i guess it’s because of that missing code…. I should’nt do something special with the articles i post? I just post them under the section “start”.

Re: Create a linklist with months

It starts at the phrase “Here’s that original code which is used for the form that displays the archives page…”.
