textpattern.org comment spam, annoying notifications
The past five days or so Textpattern.org is targeted by comment spammers which in turn cause notification messages whenever one of those crooks decides to dump his load at a post I’ve made there.
Is there anything which could be done to remedy for this annoyance besides blacklisting my own e-mail address on the receiving end?

Shouldn’t be too hard to fix with a decent anti-spam plugin. If I can find some time tonight, I’ll give it a try, unless there are already some effective plugins floating around that haven’t been tried.

Spam should be much reduced now, that is, until they use new keywords in their spam :)

The most recent inbox trash reads:

The frequency is lower, thanks. But the monster is still alive…

That type of spam should be blocked again this evening. I had the filter check name/url/email as well, but I think that was accidentally overwritten by another edit of the spamcheck plugin.
