Textpattern sites in screen readers and with web standards
Hi
I’m planning to use Textpattern to put up a blog this weekend. How does Textpattern go with accessibility including seeing sites in screen readers like Lynx?
I often visit one Textpattern site and that seems to work well in Lynx.
I plan to use the strict doctype. Does Textpattern cause any validation problems at all? If it does are they easy to fix.
Thanks

If Textpattern causes validation problems, that’s probably a bug (report them if you find any!).
I’m using a strict xhtml doctype on a textpattern based website and have no problems passing w3c validator checks.
Textpattern doesn’t stop you from making a page that is also accessible in Lynx. I think that depends more on the templates your create than on Textpattern itself.

Textpattern is like a clean and empty canvas. Much of what you can achieve is up to you.

Thanks for the replies
I’m glad to hear it works well with that.

Exactly!
PS: Lynx is a text-only browser ;).
