Intergrate Simile into an Archive listing

So I was roaming around when I ran across this:
http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/

So I started trying to get it integrated onto my website as an archive browser. I thought it might be neater than just having a plain list. The main problem is it seems to take an XML file as the input to add dates, and I can’t figure out how to get it to read a textpattern url as the input.

Anyone have any ideas? I think this would be pretty cool…

With a basic Txp install, it would be quite hackish and take lots of work. Better to make up a plugin that’ll output exactly what you need.

Re: Intergrate Simile into an Archive listing

So is there a plugin already that will publish to a file? I can use textpattern to format the page correctly, but the next step of creating a static xml doc I am unsure of.
