Wireframing projects
I haven’t seen this discussed anywhere yet.
How do you wireframe your projects ?
What Tools do you use ( paper, apps ) ?
What are the concepts you use to wireframe a TXP project ?

Same concepts and deliverables as any other project.
Wireframes & page description diagrams amongst other things.
Do it in an application (photoshop, illustrator, etc) if you need to have something ultra-nice to show.
Do it on paper if it’s only for yourself or your team’s benefit.

I think the fastest way to do this is in Illustrator, and then upon approval, import it into fireworks or Photoshop (PS for me) as a top layer to design “under”.
If possible I am inclined to think its not a bad idea to go ahead and make a lightweight html page for wireframes as these are more flexible and more accurate in terms of a dynamic piece of content (browser type, text size, screen res. etc).

Illustrator.. hands down. Nothing gets my mental pictures down faster.

I am all about Fireworks for wire framing. It has all of the same vector abilities without the overhead. I have also used Smart Draw which is very nice for quick and dirty diagrams that don’t look crappy.

Fireworks for me too. All it needs is better text flow tools. I love it.

Hey Patrick :)
One other thought with Fireworks. If you ever need to throw a bitmap into the mix of your diagram you can just forget about it with illustrator, if you need to crop it or resize it illustrator has no way to accomplish this. One big bug with Illustrator if you ask me.

Thanks, one reason I had opened this thread, was the easy and not overkill thought.
That app, that soulships points to would be about perfect. ( for windows Users )
On Mac OS, using photoshop and Illustrator, or the usual Omnigraffle, seems still like overkill to me.
The mindmapping software, that Ace of Dubs points to is also only available for windows platforms.

Mario a similar product to the one I mentioned is ConceptDraw and it has an osx version and a 30 day trial. Might be worth a peek.
