500 internal server error on production status: debugging
Just like the title says. Its been happening on a few of my sites (hosted on Dreamhost).
PHP version: 5.2.1 No errors in diagnostic. Might be related to plugins (I have been getting sporatic errors when I try to save a plugin after editing it manually).
I will try to test this on a different server later this week. Couldn’t find a record of this happening to others in the forum. Thoughts??

Usually when a 500 Internal Server error occurs, the web server records a more specific error message in an error log file. If you can get access to that, we can probably identify the cause.

duh.. so..
Premature end of script headers: php5.cgi

to which I found this from the dreamhost forum. Perhaps I should send in a ticket? Or switch from PHP 5? arrg. don’t want to do that though…

Textpattern works fine with PHP 5.
If the problem occurs intermittently, see here.
