Access images captions?

I’m working on the cgd_dynagallery to make it more useful on my blog. (www.tokyotravelers.net)

Right now, i want to add the captions under the images. My only real problem with this is, I have no idea how to access any images caption. I’m not exactly good at this plugin making, so I have no idea how to access anything, images, text, articles etc.

Since I’m so bad at this, I don’t really know what you guys need to be able to help me.. do I need to post the code etc?

If you are not good at it (neither am I by the way), why don’t you use an existing plugin. I use a hacked version of Lightbox here which brings the $caption in.

not to dissuade you from your current approach, but you could try any of the following to make galleries with image captions.

That should get you started

Your help is very much appriciated.. the problem with all of those plugins are, they seem so advanced. What I liked about cgd_dynagallery was how minimal it was. Most gallery plugins are for making huge galleries which take up a whole page… I just want small galleries to post 10-15 images in my blog posts. I’ll look into those plugins and hope that one of them will do the trick without me having to study exactly how they work ;)
