deleting own posts (and threads)
I remember being able to delete my own posts (or even threads I started) not so long ago, but that doesn’t seem possible anymore. Am I looking in the wrong place or was this option removed from the forum? I really do miss it, especially in cases where I realise an oh-no!-second too late that I’ve posted a wrong or duplicate post.

The Allow users in this group to delete their own posts. must of been changed for moderators.
I know I can delete posts in the forum I moderate only.

No, it has not. You’ve sort of answered yourself/Ruud though.
It’s because of how PunBB understands the Moderator group; you’re only counted as a Moderator when in the forum you moderate. In forum software-speak, Moderators are only “Local Moderators”, not “Global Moderators”.
Everyone can delete their own posts if it is not the first in a thread. No one except Modersators and Admins can delete their post if it is the first in a thread, because that deletes the entire thread. While I trust “old” members, there’s no way for me to specify who can and can’t do it, because PunBB does not support multiple user groups yet.
That’s why all Moderators who are also plugin authors had to be made Moderators of the Plugin Authors forum, because to make them a member of the Plugin Authors group means stripping them of Moderator status.

The ‘delete’ link for deleting my own non-first posts was missing at the time when I posted this thread. Now it has re-appeared. Strange (or “thanks!” to the one who fixed it).
