Vanishing Sections

This is too weird. Random sections are disappearing on my TXP install.

Under Live Mode all I get is a blank page, no html, no head, nothing:

Under Testing Mode all I get is a blank page with the debug info:

<!— Runtime: 0.3971 —>
<!— Query time: 0.285672 —>
<!— Queries: 23 —>
<!— Memory: 2435Kb, end of textpattern() —>

Under Debug Mode all I get a 500 Internal Server Error error.

Any ideas?

Re: Vanishing Sections

I’d guess they all have the same page template, with an unclosed tag or similar problem.

Re: Vanishing Sections

Here’s the weird part.. I have a glossary sections A-Z all using the same page template and forms, yet only some of these sections

(A-D, P and S) are exhibiting this strange behavior.

Total headscratcher.

Edit: THere is no HTML content in these sections either… its all Textile

Re: Vanishing Sections

Isn’t this (related to) the same problem you posted about before?

Re: Vanishing Sections

Els,

It is the same project as that thread, but this problem is different. Before I was getting redirected to the main site index, now I get nothiing at all, just a blank page or 500 error depending on site mode

Re: Vanishing Sections

Hm.. so it’s just coincidence that c, p and s are among the disappearing sections? What I would try is changing the section name to something else, letter-p for instance, see if that makes a difference.
But I’m afraid you’ll need wetman again ;)

Re: Vanishing Sections

Hehe.. that just may be the case, Els.

Or I just might redo this site with Ruby on Rails. :0

Re: Vanishing Sections

You know whats the weirdest part of this problem? It sort of happened on its own.

My site was working fine for months, and then one day the sections just started buggin out on me… I wonder if its a Dreamhost thing
