... create identical textpattern installations?

Planning to create almost 15 textpattern installs with the same plugins. Is it possible to do so without having to install each plugin over and over?

Make the first install,
make a dump of the database (with phpmyadmin)
create a standard config.php (matching the maximum of the need)

For each installation :
upload all files (without setup forlder)
insert dump database with phpmyadmin
correct config.php

Also make sure you check ied_if_domain as it might be handy with so many installs

You can also just export/import the “txp_plugins” table.

colak: Actually, the multiple installs are for an html/css/layout/txp seminar we’re holding :) [Looks like we’re using Inspired’s hide_in_admin plugin as well =P] But if_domain’s a very interesting plugin, I’m sure I can use it someday. :D

Yeah, I do the txp_plugins dance as a matter of course on new installs now.

Stuff that really should be in core keeps me (to the tune of Rawhide) importing…porting…porting. Plug——ins.
