W3 Validator is confusing me...
Hello all,
The W3C Validator is repeatedly notifying me of this erroneous line:
Warning Line 6 column 61: character “<” is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data.
…k rel=“stylesheet” type=“text/css” media=“screen” href=”<txp:css />” />
This message may appear in several cases:
* You tried to include the “<” character in your page: you should escape it as “<” * You used an unescaped ampersand “&”: this may be valid in some contexts, but it is recommended to use “&”, which is always safe. * Another possibility is that you forgot to close quotes in a previous tag.I’m quite confused. Is the txp tag in there what is throwing off the Validator? Something else? I don’t have any ampersand symbols anywhere in my HTML, nor in the particular line it mentioned… Quite confusing. Could someone please help me sort this out? Thank you. :)

What’s the URI of the page?

Re: W3 Validator is confusing me...
Looks like you’re validating a TXP page/template instead of the page that a visitor would see when visiting your website. It’s the <
in <txp:css />
that makes the validator complain

Re: W3 Validator is confusing me...
Ruud, thank you for clarifying what I was doing wrong. I’ve now fixed the errors and my page was validated. =)
