Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Thanks Matthew!

Just an update – I’m currently working on getting the store settings all functioning. This includes shipping zones & rules, currency settings and all that stuff. I’ll have an update soon.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Hi Levi,

Just thinking about doing a fresh install here soon, any chance you could consolidate that SQL query into one step?

My current test install just borked!

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Sure thing, Dale. I’ve been doing some big updates to the schema lately so it doesn’t surprise me that the test install failed.

I just posted an update on the blog with the latest SQL updates. Let me know if there’s any problems.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Does the latest SQL query include all the queries start to finish or do I need to start from scratch and do a step by step?

[update] looks good. Very Promising. Seems to work without that first [pesky] query.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Thanks Dale, I fixed the SQL script so that first part is gone.

[Update:] In tonight’s build the settings tab should be completely working. Just FYI.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Hey everyone, just wanted to announce the 0.0.5 release , which includes all the Dashboard functionality.

We’re getting close with the admin section. All the major store sections are working minus a few features. If you want to get a good idea of how the store is going to look when we hit an actual release, I’d recommend installing this build. It’s the most stable we’ve gotten yet. (Be sure to follow the instructions in How to install the nightly build . Everything in that article is still valid.)

Version 0.0.5 includes the following updates:

  • Dashboard
    • Track visits in the last 7 days
    • Top referrers in the last 7 days
    • This week’s orders
    • This week’s popular pages

Just to recap the bugs/still missing features that I’m aware of with this release:

  • Delete order is not working
  • View customer’s orders link is not working when browsing customers
  • Delete product is not working (a biggie)
  • Inventory tracking isn’t working
  • Product categorizing is iffy and needs to be updated

If you come across any more please let me know. Thanks!

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Levi,
Holy crap. This is some great work.
Just a quicky error: visits is mispelled. “Vists in the last 7 days” on the dashboard.

What kind of testing would you like done? What’s priority? What should I try to break?

Matthew

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

wow. just installed this for the first time. this looks incredibly good!

not sure if you’re aware of this one: i tried to add a new country/region and it returned the following sql error:
Column 'shipping_rate_id' cannot be null

also here’s a (hopefully smallish) request (maybe it’s too early anyways..): i’d love to be able to customize the order confirmation based on the payment method the client chose. that’s very helpful if you offer money order…

edit: it was already mentioned in this thread but i just wanted to let you know that it happens to me as well:
clicking on “content” and “admin” just brings up a blank page…
