Newsletter
Are there any good textpattern email newsletter plugins? I want people to be able to register for the weekly email newsletter via the website, and it would be handy to just write the newsletter with the txp gui. I use constant contact, and the format is pretty lethargic.

I found phplist to look pretty promising. Anyone have any experience integrating it into txp? Perhaps using contact_reborn (zem_CR if my memory suits me)?

Php List is a beast, but if the needs suit, you just need to embed the sign-up code into an article. If you really need or expect a large list I highly recommend Campaign Monitor which does a better job without the overhead. I use it a lot as php list is a seperate piece of software to maintain, debug, and another db to protect/backup etc.

I posted this some time 2 years ago. It explains how to integrate phplist with txp
