Personally I’m fine with it, but contributors that only provide content and are not aware of the underpinnings are being confused by the need for these “extra tags”.

I too am having this problem, but with my <h3> (or any) tags..
I don’t want to turn textile off, but I would like to be able to use heading tags without p tags being wrapped around them.

Er, is there a reason you aren’t using the Textile heading syntax? In any case, that’s what notextile.
is for.

Textile have heading syntax? :D I wasn’t aware.. couldn’t see it in the list..
notextile. wasn’t working either – that just got wrapped in a p and read as text…
Will look in to the textile syntax some more now..! haha, thanks ;)
