just overwrite the existing files in your textpattern/lib directory with the ones from the zip. Then install the new l10n.txt plugin and activate it. Nothing else should be needed.

Don’t be sorry, you’ve written an incredible bit of software. Feature idea: be nice to somehow be able to quickly switch to between renditions of an article from within the write tab.

Hmm, to do that safely would need some way of tracking state change within the fields of the form so that you can warn the writer if they have un-saved edits before they switch over to a different rendition.
What do you really want to achieve with this feature request — I mean, do you just want to see (Read only) what another rendition currently looks like; or is the switch so that the editing can then start over in the selected rendition; or something else?

It’s not really the tp way to warn when you leave a screen without saving, so I wouldn’t worry about that. My idea would be to switch so that editing can then start

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Finally had some time to test this more. I have now all clear install and everything works quite well, but:
1) Sometimes when I select snippets tab, TXP throws me out (have to log in again). Strange…
2) Could you say what goes wrong with this:
My TXP is installed in subfolder, like this:
www.mydomain.com/installdir/
I’m planning to have four sections on my site, say:
home | stories | images | info
Section works normally with the native lang, and urls are like this:
www.mydomain.com/installdir/?s=stories
but if I change language, for example to swedish, urls are somehow messed, like this:
www.mydomain.com/installdir/sv/installdir/?s=stories
and if I then click back to english, it messes it to this
www.mydomain.com/installdir/sv//?s=stories
(having two // ‘s, which I don’t think is right?)
Basically I think changing language works as long you don’t change section, after that urls get messed. What I should check, this propably is not depending MLP at all, or is it?
Anyway, like others have been saying, this IS quite amazing mod!

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
How many languages is too many? I’m working on a pretty big site and they want the following languages installed…
English (GB)
Default
Deutsch
Español
Français
Português
日本語
中文(简体)
中文(國語)
Would this cause problems?
I’ve already found one problem. I installed all these languages and when I try to go the write tab I just get a blanck screen. I’m using…
PHP version: 5.2.1
MySQL: 5.0.27-standard

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Hi,
a few days ago I have found textpattern+MLP, and I knew that’s I really need! I’m seeking for a solution for some multi-language sites (english, hungarian, croatian, slovak, rumanian, etc.), and all the other competitors are extremly complicated or simply don’t work.
I newly installed textpattern and MLP on top. And I have some installation problem (I belive it’s the same, what others had already reported), MLP setup wizard can’t do his job properly.
Almost every step is marked done, but:
step 1.2: Add the ‘txp_lang.l10n_owner’ field: Failed
step 8.1/8.2… : Add the … [l10n_txp_…] table: Failed (with every language)
And then, using the site, beautifel empty pages, and other problems.
Configuration:
Windows XP Prof
Apache 2.2
PHP 5.2.1
MySql 5.0.27-community-nt
textpattern 4.0.4
MSL 0.6.602
What to do?

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Ok I tried a fresh install of TXP and MLP with only these languages installed…
English (GB)
Deutsch
Español
Français
Português
I still get a blank white page when I try to access the “write” tab.
I’m using mlp-0.6.602.zip
Here is the server info…
