Allow 'not users' (visitors) to provide/upload content?
Hello.
I’m busy building a site for an art project.
People who visit the site should be able to upload content (images), possibly after a registration/login procedure.
the images will directly appear online in order to be voted by other viewers.
I thought each image could be included in an article or a comment for an article.
or something like that.
still i cannot clearly see how to allow people to upload without having to log into the admin interface…
any idea?
(maybe i’ll have to make a custom database table with specific queries… only for the images..?)
thank you,
feragnoli
what was that again…?

Re: Allow 'not users' (visitors) to provide/upload content?
mem_self_register allows for people to register to the back end… I’m not certain if images are user specific though which means that if given access to the image tab anyone will be able to delete images.
There is also sed_afu which allows anonymous file upload but with this one you will need to moderate what is uploaded.

yes I was checking the mem_self plugin family but it appears not to work fine on a 4.0.4 instalation..!
what was that again…?

feragnoli, maybe you should post in the plugin’s thread where somebody might post a fix for it…

I posted a plugin request here some days ago for a new, working and mantained replacement of mem_ plugins.
If someone is interested, he/she could add some thoughts to the request.
Bye!
