password has to be continually re-entered.
Hello,
If i log on to the text pattern admin from the computer i set it up with it works fine. But if I try loging on from any other computer it acts strangely. I cant make any edits or changes to the content. When clicking between any of the tabs on the admin it keeps asking for the password and username again. All the passwords ive tried are correct and have publisher privilages.

Check the date/time on that computer and make sure your browser accepts cookies.

Actually the time was incorrect on the computer that i set up text pattern on.
I synchronized the time and then logged in and out. Then i tried logging on on the other computer but still had the same problem. I cleared the cookies and still couldn’t do it.

Ok now ive cleared the cookies on the other computer that had the bad time and i cant stay logged in at all-anywhere.

no need to clear cookies. Just make sure the browser accepts them (usually something in the security/privacy settings)

Hi Ruud,
Yes the browser excepts cookies but i still cant remain logged on.
Could this have something to do with these corrupt database tables?
Can’t open file: ‘txp_lang.MYD’. (errno: 145) select name, data from txp_lang where lang=‘en-gb’ in /home/kvnmcwebn/www/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 84
Im unable to fix this problem until i can log on because im going to use a plug – in to fix it.

Use phpMyAdmin to repair the db… It might (should) solve this problem

The login problem could be caused by the output buffering issue you posted in the other thread.

Hi,
I’ve installed php my admin so that i can try and repair the corrupt table as posted in the other thread. But im having problems there as well, when i select the table in question or any table and go to the operations tab in phpmyadmin i get this:
“The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated.”
There isnt a maintenance tab. if i follow the explanation link i get this
“PMA Database … not OK[ Documentation ]
General relation features Disabled”
sorry if this is OT but i havnt recieved my logon info for the phpmyadmin forum yet.
