Can't open file: 'txp_lang.MYI'

Hi there,

I have just launched a new textpattern blog for a client. I browsed across the site the other day and found these error messages in the header:

Warning: Can’t open file: ‘txp_lang.MYI’ (errno: 145) select name from txp_lang where lang=‘en-gb’ limit 1 in /home/11402/domains/website.com/html/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 84

Warning: Can’t open file: ‘txp_lang.MYI’ (errno: 145) select name, data from txp_lang where lang=‘en-gb’ AND ( event=‘public’ OR event=‘common’) in /home/11402/domains/website.com/html/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 84

Does anybody know what might of caused these? They’ve certainly surfaced rather randomly – as I’m 100% sure they wern’t there last time I checked.

Further to my previous post – I pulled this out of the diagnostics info in the admin area of the website:

Pre-flight check:
————————————
clean_url_data_failed: <br />
mysql_table_errors: txp_lang: error: Size of indexfile is: 1024 Should be: 53248, txp_lang: error: Corrupt

Please help!

Try repairing the txp_lang table.

You can try the tool phpMyAdmin or download and install the rss_admin_db_manager plugin — it allows you to repair tables too, very useful.

Thanks for the info guys – all fixed now by repairing the table in phpmyadmin.

Out of interest – why would this sort of thing happen?
