Spaces in URLS in search engine search results and in admin

When I search for my name (currently the second result) on live.com I get:

JOHN WOZNIAK: Contact Me

Search form Search …

* johnwozniak.com/cms/ contact-me * · Cached page

There is a space after cms/

The space does not seem to affect the link from the live.com search results page.

I see this same space in the Visitor logs and tag URL’s – it really unnerves me – can someone shed some light on this?

I haven’t seen this sort of thing before so I am a little confused.
