Restrict content

how do I restrict certain content by creating a user account system?

TXP is not ready yet (or not designed to) handle real user auth/data restriction.

Define “real”?-)

I think making all article forms something like

<txp:if_article_section name="protected">
    <txp:password_protect />
</txp:if_article_section>

<txp:title />
<txp:body />

is ‘working enough’. But that’s only for articles and not for files. :( Authentication is about at same level with content expiration (with plugins) IMHO. ‘Works – kind of” but can break easily.

When I needed a private (extra- and intranet) part I made another Textpattern installation. Worked for me but wasn’t very elegant being separated from the main installation.
