Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

  1. You move your files to your “blog” directory.
  2. Open up config.php, and update $txpcfg['txpath'], by adding /blog to it1.
  3. Login to the Txp admin, and change your site url in the admin prefs, by adding /blog to the end of it.

All done. :)

1 For example, say it was:

$txpcfg['txpath'] = '/users/home/username/textpattern';

You would turn it into:

$txpcfg['txpath'] = '/users/home/username/blog/textpattern';

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

Simple Pie is not a Textpattern file. You’ll need to contact the plugin’s author for support.

Make use of explode().

Those examples in php are of great use to a fresh one like me. Thanks a lot for the link. Any other useful ones for a beginner like me?

Re: Common "How Do I?" questions

Hmm, not really, other than always be sure to check the PHP doc, as there is often already a built-in function that will do what you want (and built-in functions are more efficient than user-defined ones).

For example, if you are working with strings, look down the list of string functions available (explode() is a string function).

See Mary’s post above (but do check the Textbook and this article first).

@Moderators – shouldn’t this thread be locked?
