.htaccess problem -- section omitted in URLs

I just installed a fresh copy of textpattern and I’m starting to poke around. I have the permanent link mode set to “section/title”

When in a section, the permalink of articles shows as “http://www.example.com//title” The article shows at that url, as well as if I type in “http://www.example.com/section/title”

Just for fun, I tried “section/id/title” with the same resutls: “http://www.example.com//id/title”

Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: .htaccess problem -- section omitted in URLs

Hey guys,
In case anyone else ever gets this problem — I had to reinstall and all started working again. No idea what was wrong.

Re: .htaccess problem -- section omitted in URLs

My suggestion would have been to check the section’s name (in the sections tab).

When you’re justing starting out, re-installing might seem easier, but then again you might have encountered a bug so it helps if you can troubleshoot an existing install instead. Then if it is a bug, we can try to fix it. If it isn’t, you save the time of reinstalling (most problems reported are easily resolved). :)
