Turn off utf-8 and use iso-8859-1?

My entire site that I’m trying to integrate TextPattern into is using iso-8859-1 as the charset. Must I convert all my pages to uft-8 before I can integrate textpattern into it?

textpattern seems to force the header:
header(“Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8”);

not even a setting in the admin :(

Re: Turn off utf-8 and use iso-8859-1?

A Browser would give precedence to the Content Type Header sent by Apache, so if you leave the meta tag to use iso-8859-1, all the Site content would still be served as UTF-8.
Personally , I prefer to have everything set to UTF-8. ( There is no need to use these older country-specific content types )

regards, marios

Indeed, utf-8 is good, utf-8 is nice, utf-8 is strong, utf-8 smells awesome. Use utf-8.

I’m not sure what you mean here. Textpattern doesn’t care what stuff outside Textpattern does. ?
