Summary:
ats_master_category_list is a very slight modification to category_list that allows for the output of a category list with only master categories (that is, it allows for the exclusion of sub-categories from the list). For sites with multiple sub-categories, this provides just a temporary way of cleanly showing categories until a better method is generated. I hope this wasn’t already available and I missed it somewhere; I didn’t see an existing way to do this in g1.19. If this is something new, I’d be interested in hearing if it’s useful.
Usage:
Use ats_master_category_list exactly as you would the normal category_list function; to restrict list to top-level categories only, add the parameter <b>master=“1”</b>.
