Textpattern book

Sorry if this is old news, but I was browsing the friends of ED catalogue and noticed they’ve got a 450-page book coming out in May called Textpattern Solutions: PHP-Based Content Managment Made Easy. Looks like it will be quite comprehensive.

Re: Textpattern book

I’ll be looking forward to this.
( It has already 450 pages now, definetely worth the 40$, considering the Author’s names )

regards, marios

Re: Textpattern book

I saw this a while back and thought to myself, “It is about time!”

It is good to see that TXP is starting to get some attention in out there, lets just hope that it gets stronger and continues to get bigger and better.

Re: Textpattern book

I am looking forward to this book as well but there seems to be a big price difference depending on where you look to order from. Is it just a UK thing or does this book cost the rest of our European (world) TxP users twice as much as the American ones?

Checking the price on Amazon.com and then Amazon.co.uk gives a UK price of almost twice the US price. It’s about 10 pounds cheaper to order it from the US and pay the international shipping costs than it is to order it from the UK!

Re: Textpattern book

I ordered from the US Site. Including shipping that’ll be around 36 bucks.

amazon.co.uk usually lists the price including VAT which doesn’t apply to non-European customers, so the difference might not be that much after all.
