RSS feed displays wrong dates/times

I’m in the midst of building a TXP site — www.ocbodybusiness.com/news/

When I add the feed, my feed reader displays the date the article(s) were added to the feed, not the date the articles were posted. I’ve used my feed reader with other TXP sites, and the proper dates are displayed.

What could I be be doing wrong?

Re: RSS feed displays wrong dates/times

The pubDates in the RSS feed appear to match the dates of your articles.

Please be more specific if you need more help.

zem — After reading your comments, I checked out my feed using a different reader (Bloglines), and the pubDates were displayed correctly.

However, they still do not display properly in Google Reader. One would think that perhaps this a problem on Google’s end; but other TXP sites display fine. So maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Sounds like this is a Google Reader problem.

If it’s a Google Reader problem, why do other TXP sites display properly?

Re: RSS feed displays wrong dates/times

Well, if you read the discussion users had about it:

It becomes less of a problem going forward: As new items trickle in, the difference between posting date and retrieval date narrows.

Anyway, you’ll still have to talk to Google about it, we don’t control how outsiders interpret (correctly or wrongly) the RSS spec.
