TXP and sending Trackbacks...

Hi..

I have TXP 4.0.4. running and would like to send Trackbacks. Can anybody help me out here? What hacks, plugins etc. do I need, and how can I get this working?

I don’t think you can do it from within Textpattern right now. I haven’t seen any plugins yet. You can use the wizbang standalone trackback pinger if you really want to send them though.

There was a combination plugin/hack at some point, but I’m having trouble finding it. I’ll edit this if/when I find anything.

I am in agreement with most everyone else about the uselessness of trackbacks (a.k.a. “blog spam magnet”), but every once in a blue moon I want to send a trackback, usually to Blogger bloggers (o how i hate the google-ized Blogger! It is the new AOL) who disallow comments from anyone that doesn’t have a Blogger blog of their own. What a ridiculous feature. Did I mention how much I hate Blogger since Google took it over?

Anyway, thanks again for that link, it is duly bookmarked.
