Re: Ebl_batchupload
Thank you jstubbs for explaining the problem in detail!
I also have the 412-error on all my TextDrive-Installations. That’s pretty bad!
It would be wonderful if EBL_batchupload would work there as well.
(Unfortunately this week I haven’t any time to do testing and help figuring out the problem.)

Re: Ebl_batchupload
Argh. Mod_security is based off keywords? I wouldn’t suppose that their would be a list of keywords readily available to people so that they can avoid problems of this sort?
I’ll look through the source and try to see if there is anything that could be triggering it. The only thing that comes to mind, would be that I *_think_ there is a a ../ in a couple places. This could, possibly, be triggering this event. (I’ll look further once I’m out of class…)

Has everyone on textdrive had this same problem?

Re: Ebl_batchupload
A few people Eric, as far as I know. Not sure how widespread it is, likely not a big issue otherwise the topic would pop up more often at the TXD forums.

Re: Ebl_batchupload
I had the problem and sent a ticket. The answer was to disable mod_security ( see Knowledgebase ) for just the Textpattern admin section – but that didn’t sound a good solution for me (why should I weaken the whole security for just one task, which could possibly solved another way? And also it didn’t work immediately), so I postponed further looking to solve the problem.
Maybe other people disabled mod_security and everything works.
But I would prefer solving the triggering pattern in EBL_batchupload.
At the moment the plugin isn’t working on all of my TextDrive-accounts :(

Re: Ebl_batchupload
Just noticed the plugin doesn’t work in IE7 – looking back through the thread I see others have had the same problem, but I’m not sure if a solution was found.. Can anyone enlighten me?

How does it not work? What problems are you experiencing? I’ve tested this on my IE7 installation and it works as intended.

Re: Ebl_batchupload
First of all, the ‘Batch Upload’ link is set to left of the screen and unstyled. When launched, the new window says Undefined in the top left. ‘Select files’ works ok. ‘Upload’ brings the ‘Uploading’ message and then it says ‘Processing Complete’ with nothing uploaded and ’0 files’ under Filename. In Firefox it works like a dream.
As I say, I can see similar problems being reported about a month ago but I’m not clear if the latest version of the plugin should have solved things… if you see what I mean

Re: Ebl_batchupload
Ah hah! I see what the problem is with IE7 – I had a hack in place that allowed Flash files to load as intended (so I forgot about that recent annoyance of IE7), whereas standard versions of IE7 require you to click the application to launch it. What’s happening is that IE isn’t passing the variables to the flash application, which is shown in the top-left corner as undefined.
I’m going to need a Javascript hack to get it to work with IE7. Anyone familiar with EOLAS and IE7 javascript hacks? All the methods I’ve found, don’t pass data to the flash application. Blame EOLAS.

Re: Ebl_batchupload
I never tested it, but I was under the impression that UFO allows such things after browsing through the feature list.

Re: Ebl_batchupload
Hi,
this is a very nice plugin, but I have a little problem.
At first I can’t see any created imagecategory in the flashpanel.
The upload is working but the images are still in the batchupload directory and are not imported to the images directory.
I think there is a problem with the filerights, maybe safe_mode conflicts. The images have “www” group and “wwwrun” owner rights and I don’t have the permission to move or change them.
Maybe somebody can help me?
EDIT:
I figured out that the other filerights are not the problem. I think that the uploaded files are corrupt.
by the way I’m working on txp 4.0.4 and ebl_batchupload 1.0.4

Re: Ebl_batchupload
Hello,
I am using this great plugin with success on at least 2 web sites. I have a question, though. One client has picture files that can range up to 3-3.5 mb per picture. When I attempt to upload a picture this large, I get a message from the Flash part indicating that there is a limit of 1 MB per picture. I looked at the Flash source code available on the web site and it appears that there is only one line that needs changing to raise the limit to 3500KB. However, I don’t have the Flash IDE on my system and can’t make this change and recompile. Is there some kind soul that could do this for me and send me an updated version? Alternatively, if someone knows how to recompile a .FLA into a .SWF without having Flash, I could do it myself. Thanks for any help anyone can give!
